New Jersey’s western Canada road trip continues in British Columbia where the Devils is in Vancouver to take on the Canucks. New Jersey is coming off a successful back to back against the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames with a 1-0-1 record.
Head coach John Hynes will go with the same lineup from the Flames game citing the “if it ain’t broke” mantra, with only one change. Cory Schneider will make the start for New Jersey again, trying to get his first win in his old home.

The switch to move Zacha to left wing was made to help Zacha’s offensive game. Playing the wing limits Zacha’s defensive responsibilities and also allows Zacha to get open in the offensive zone and use his shot.
Zacha was able to produce a good scoring chance with a hard wrist shot in the Calgary game that Jacob Josefson was unable to convert off a rebound. He will look to create more as his line with Bennett and Josefson will look to use their speed to create space in the offensive zone.
